Born and raised in Los Angeles

where she graduated with honors from Mount St. Mary’s Univeristy with a BS in Biology

She received her doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, and gained additional clinical training at the Sierra Nevada VA and Crow Indian Health Services.

Dr. Kruger spent the first 5 years of her career serving the community of Oahu, Hawaii working in both private practice and hospital settings.

Her husband’s career in the Air Force brought them to Charleston in 2023, and they look forward to staying here following his retirement.
