What is OptiLift?

Optilift is a non-surgical in-office treatment that uses electrical pulses and heat to tone the muscles and tighten skin around your eyes. It helps to improve loose lower eyelids and improves how you blink.

Optilift is a non-surgical in-office treatment that combines Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt) and radiofrequency (RF) energy to tone the muscles and tighten the skin around the lower eyelids.

How the Technologies Work

  • Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt): The device sends gentle electrical pulses to the periorbital muscles (specifically around the lower eyelids). These pulses cause controlled muscle contractions, acting like a targeted workout to rebuild resting tone and strengthen the support structure of the eyelid.
  • Radiofrequency (RF) Energy: The handpiece delivers precise warmth to deeper layers of the skin. This heat stimulates new collagen and elastin production to firm up loose skin, while also helping to warm and clear blocked oils in the meibomian glands.

The process typically takes about four treatment sessions that are spaced one to two weeks apart.

  • Duration: Takes about 14 minutes total (seven minutes per eye).
  • Sensations: You feel gentle warmth from the radiofrequency energy and a light pulsing or twitching sensation as the muscles contract.
  • Downtime: There is no recovery period, and you can return to normal activities immediately. You might experience mild, temporary redness or skin sensitivity.
  • Lower Eyelid Laxity: People with mild-to-moderate looseness or sagging under the eyes who want a non-surgical alternative to traditional procedures like blepharoplasty.
  • Dry Eye and Incomplete Blinking: Individuals suffering from dry eyes caused by inefficient blinking, often exacerbated by long hours staring at digital screens.
  • Functional and Aesthetic Goals: Anyone seeking a non-invasive way to improve both under-eye appearance and tear film stability without recovery downtime.
  • Rehabilitation Support: Patients recovering from conditions like Bell’s palsy that weaken periorbital (around the eye) muscle tone
  • Implanted electronic devices: Individuals with pacemakers or defibrillators cannot undergo the procedure.
  • Metal implants: Anyone with metal in or near the lower eyelid treatment area is disqualified.
  • Active skin infections: Patients with open wounds, active infections, or severe inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment zone should avoid it.
  • Pregnancy: The treatment is generally not recommended during pregnancy.
  • Severe neurological or muscle conditions: Conditions severely impacting local muscle function or severe eyelid laxity requiring surgical blepharoplasty may make this non-surgical option inappropriate
  • Improves Blink Efficiency: Strengthens the orbicularis oculi and surrounding eyelid muscles to promote complete, effective blinking.
  • Relieves Dry Eye Symptoms: Enhances tear distribution and film stability by restoring oil flow from the meibomian glands and improving blink mechanics.
  • Reduces Eyelid Laxity: Targets gravitational sagging and lower lid drooping by toning underlying muscle and tightening supportive tissue.
  • Stimulates Collagen: Uses radiofrequency heat to warm deeper skin layers, encouraging collagen and elastin production for improved firmness.
  • Non-Invasive with No Downtime: Offers comfortable, in-office sessions with no harsh chemicals and no social downtime.
  • Enhances Aesthetics: Smooths fine lines, reduces under-eye puffiness, and creates a more lifted, refreshed look around the eyes.
  • All four treatments total $1,400
